Park Jordana was established in 1889 as the first playground in Krakow, but also the first of its kind in Europe– having been modeled after the playgrounds that had been popular in the U.S.

We’ll eventually expand our coverage to include all the aspects of the current park which range from rentable electric cars for kids, a sculpture park, Wojtek the Bear’s statue, multiple playgrounds and exercise areas, a small train for kids to ride, and much more. But for now, we’re starting with the Splash Pads!
When it’s hot in the summer and you need to cool off, there are plenty of places to get wet in Krakow. While the Bagry or Zakrzowek are best for swimming. And Plac Szczepanski’s fountain is probably the most convenient spot to go if you’re in the Old Town. If you’ve got the time, and some bored little kids in your group, making the short trip out to the Park Jordana Splash Pad may be worth it! There’s even a bench going around the entire pad for adults to sit and watch their kids without having to get too wet.

The Splash Pad is free to use, and is surrounded by a pond, that while it says you shouldn’t swim in, we have before and survived. You’ll also find surrounding the Splash pad, a wooden area for tanning and picnicking.

As well as a snack counter with ice cream and what not. The little train through the park also leaves from near here, so once the kids are done splashing there is plenty more to do.
Explore the rest of the park and you’ll start to see why this is one of the best places to take kids to in Krakow.
