In the middle of the Main Market Square you will find The Cloth Hall, or in Polish, Sukiennice. The name comes from the middle ages. The Main Square used to be a huge market, separated by the type of products sold and this was where cloth merchants sold their wares.
Today, you will find stalls full of souvenirs, competitively priced, with the best selection. We recommend a traditional folk-printed scarf, a painted egg, a piece of amber, or a little dragon to take home. And if you’re not headed to the mountains, you can get some traditional folk souvenirs from the mountain town of Zakopane here, like leather house-slippers or wooden dinnerware.
